Gain Expertise in EMDR While Crafting Your Customized Intensives

An exclusive 6-week consultation group designed to provide you with the knowledge, guidance, and tools necessary to excel in the world of EMDR intensives. Led by Tina Kocol, LPC - an EMDRIA certified therapist who has years of experience in EMDR intensive and adjunctive therapy and program development, you'll participate in a transformative learning that will revolutionize your practice.

In addition to creating a unique intensive plan for your practice, you’ll have ten (10) group consultation hours to help you move towards your own EMDRIA certification. Each two-hour meeting will be a combination of EMDR consultation and intensive design training. The group is capped at 6 participants so each member of the group will have ample time to participate in consultation and get to ask questions and solicit feedback about their intensive design.

Through this group you will:

  • Deepen your understanding and confidence in EMDR

  • Get necessary hours toward certification

  • Create a plan to provide EMDR intensives

  • Enhance your practice offerings

  • Put you and your practice on the forefront of an up-and-coming treatment modality

  • Give yourself more time and money by creating a boutique offering for clients

Each week focuses on a different aspect of EMDR intensive design.

After reviewing EMDR cases in group consultation, the second hour of each week gives you the chance to think through and process with fellow group members your EMDR intensive ideas. Frequently

Asked

Questions

  • Clients are able to feel better faster. From clients with recent traumatic events to more complex trauma, you’re able to provide relief sooner than spending months to years in weekly, hour-long therapy.

  • As an intensive provider you are making yourself a specialist. Specialists in any field are able to charge more for their services so you’ll be able make more with seeing fewer clients. Besides the compensation, you’ll also be seen as an expert in EMDR and the field. Providing your unique intensive offering sets you apart and referral providers and clients will remember you and consider you an expert by providing something special.

  • Absolutely! Since you’re a specialist and you’re able to see fewer clients you are able to make a schedule that suits you. Are you longing to go to 10am yoga everyday? You can make that work with an intensive schedule. Want to be done with the day by 3pm so you can spend time with your family in the evenings? You can do that, too! Only want to work two or three days per week? Or spend the fall in Europe> Intensives can allow you to do that.

    1. Six, two-hour long sessions split between case consultation and intensive designing.

    2. Workbook that provides the necessary prompts to help you design intensives that suit your life.

    3. 10 hours of EMDRIA-approved group consultation. This is half of the hours necessary for EMDRIA certification.

    4. Forever access to a library of resources on intensives that will continually be updated so you can stay up-to-date on intensive research and best-practices.

    5. Expert guidance from a licensed therapist that exclusively provides intensives to clients in her practice.

    6. Collaboration with a cohort of other creative and ambitious therapists looking to be on the cutting edge of EMDR practice.

  • You’ll get:

    • 10 hours of EMDRIA approved group consultation hours towards EMDRIA certification.

    • A fully-formed foundation to start providing intensives that is tailored to your practice and life because it was designed by you!

    • The confidence to actually DO this. You’ll break through the fear of starting by having all your ducks in a row when it comes to your intensive design and marketing plan.

    • Fast return on your investment. Unlike other trainings - this will return back you investment within the first intensive client you book.

    • Guidance by a therapist who exclusively does intensives. Intensives aren’t a part of my practice, they are my entire practice, so I know how to help you figure this out.

  • You’ve probably seen a lot of options for intensive design programs. Some people offer online courses, some offer subscriptions to memberships, others do long weekends in Vegas. All of these are great but ONLY focus on the business part.

This intensive design program helps you think like an intensive therapist by doing case consultations so you can start to conceptualize clients through the lens of intensives.

Besides feeling confident about your case conceptualization, you’re also going to have thought through every aspect of intensives so you can feel confident about providing them. This includes paperwork and consents, and marketing/talking about your intensives with referral partners and clients.

You can also rest assured that I’m not running a business about how to teach other people how to run a business. A lot of therapists become private practice consultants and coaches and leave behind their practice - making it their job to get you to sign up. My primary role is intensive therapist and clinician. I’m committed to being a great EMDR therapist and for me that includes providing quality consultation to others who want to be great at EMDR. I have found that intensives serve me and my clients better than any other kind of therapy model I’ve tried and my goal is to help you find what suits you the best so we can all help the clients to the best of our abilities.

  • Each week we have a two-hour session together and it is in your best interest to come prepared with the prompts from the workbook completed. You can take as little or as much time as you’d like with these prompts, but I recommend taking at least another hour out of your schedule to think through the prompts , put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard so we can have rich, helpful conversations in our weekly sessions.

  • It is entirely likely that you’ll make back at least your investment into this program when booking your first intensive client.

If you look at the model I use in my practice, the basic package I offer is $3,000. One client more than covers the investment of this program. If you google EMDR intensives and see what people are charging, you can see that the rate for intensives means you investment of $1,200 will be made back quickly!

  • For this program you get 10 EMDRIA approved consultation hours. This program does not offer EMDRIA CE credits.

As far as CEs for your license, I can provide documentation that you can submit to your state board for validation of the hours spent in the program. Many licensing boards allow you to submit paperwork to ask for training to be considered for continuing education credit for free or a nominal feel. It never hurts to ask your board!

    • I am and EMDRIA approved consultant-in-training and EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist.

    • I exclusively provide EMDR intensives in my practice.

    • I am a certified group psychotherapist and experienced facilitator and adult educator, so I know how to help adult learners get the most from my trainings.

    • I’ve created quality programing and have done program evaluation, so my materials aren’t just checklists and suggestions - they are designed to get you to interact with yourself and how you want to provide intensives in your practice.

  • I will likely be running the next cohort in the fall, after the school year gets going. This July cohort is an introductory price, and the cost for the program will go up after this cohort.
